Abstract
The role of the thermal control system is to keep temperature of the components within required temperature limits for given orbits, power demand, operations, etc. It also should reduce temperature gradients across the spacecraft and some components like lenses. The thermal control system was not used widely in past for CubeSats due to low level of power generation. Currently, when CubeSats are getting more functionality and became “power hungry,” the thermal control system is paramount for successful mission.
