They greeted the starter at 9:32 a.m., and Alex apologized for being two minutes late. Luckily, the foursome ahead had just launched their tee shots, so they had a few minutes to wait until they could let it rip. This foursome was made up of three Division 1 golfers and Austin, who was good enough to play at that level herself but chose school instead.

“So, what's our goal here? Or should I say,” Alex asked, rubbing his hands together excitedly and raising his eyebrows “Our common goal?” Alex can bounce back quickly from almost anything.

“So we're just gonna jump right into it?” Collin asked, pulling a golf club out of his bag. “I don't need to warm up; it's like riding a bike for me. Am I right?” he asked, looking at Bobbi. She rolled her eyes and smiled, as Austin looked back and forth between the three of them, trying to figure out what they were talking about.

“Isn't the goal for me and Bobbi to crush you guys?” Austin questioned, smiling over at Bobbi and asserting her own personality into the group.

“Ah. Yes. That's the goal for the golf game. But what I think your dad was trying to do was dive right into one of the first concepts we learned about in school. . .,” Collin suggested.
