THE MAIN CHAMPION of culture is the leader. But in any organization that is looking to either change or otherwise continuously improve its culture, it is crucial for the leader to identify at an early stage who else within the organization is going to be on his side. Cultural change takes enormous commitment from the leaders of an organization, but it also requires other champions who will connect to the bigger picture. It’s critical that these individuals be found, and the entire executive team should be behind this and actively searching.
