These stories, as with the many short stories in this book, help us to identify the steps taken by others in their attempts to bridge cultural and linguistic divides. The first step to successfully integrating cultures in our everyday lives is assessing our values. When what we consider valuable in our life’s journey becomes clear, we can more purposefully illustrate our values through behavior.
