Entrepreneur magazine reports that 90 percent of U.S. companies use outsourced labor, a figure that has grown from 6 percent to more than 27 percent since 1990. The freelance nation even has people with full-time jobs looking for ways to turn their passions, knowledge, or skills into a revenue stream.
