Possessing adequate capabilities is required for the successful adoption of information technology and its subsequent routinization. Such enabling capabilities are difficult to acquire in the short term. Instead, they should be developed over time and evolve with experience such as systems implementation and continuous exposure of individuals to systems use for supply chain management.
