Chapter 5A Wild Prehistoric Trill
Over the next month and a half, we spent all of our free time in the boat. Our marina neighbors who lived on the river would typically put fifty to a hundred hours on a boat in a given year. We put one hundred hours on our boat in two months.
Over those two months in the late fall, the river had its usual occasional barge traffic but almost no pleasure boats. Currently was there, though. We took her up through Chickamauga Lock and back. We found our rhythm and settled into roles. We switched from time to time, but usually Maggie would drive into the locks and I would work the lines.
