Episode 5. Customer Service 101: The Basics of Bad Customer Service

As you can see, delivering terrible customer service is super simple. All you really have to do is not listen, not pay attention, and not know anything. It’s kind of like being a junior high student.

However, it turns out that delivering excellent customer service is also super simple. As long as you acknowledge people’s existence, listen to their needs, and actually know what you’re talking about, you’ll be well on your way toward becoming someone worth emulating. I wouldn’t be surprised if some of your former customers start coming back with homemade pies and knitted sweaters as gifts for being as awesome as you are. And I’m pretty sure those pies will be delicious.
