MODULAR SOLIDS
3.0 Introduction
Modular solids are polyhedra made from separate pieces of card (‘modules’), which lock together without glue. The unfolded modules can be flat-packed for mailing or for holding in a special presentation wallet until assembled by the recipient to create the final three-dimensional form. Any of the envelopes in chapter 4 would be ideal for this purpose. The transformation of 2-D modules to 3-D solids gives them a real ‘wow!’ factor.
