EDUARDO RECIFE

Typography plays an important part in Brazil-based Eduardo Recife’s work. As well as using it in many of his collaged illustrations, he has created more than 20 typefaces. His collages play with vintage imagery – anything from Michelangelo to Victoriana. They use decorative papers to great effect, creating intriguing narratives: ‘I enjoy taking things out of their original context.
