Tokyo-based designer Rico’s delicate work feels like a breath of fresh air. She first discovered the technique of cutting and pasting while working on a college project when she was studying in the Netherlands. Featuring pastel colours and natural motifs such as trees, leaves and flowers, her work uses a mixture of different cut papers and drawing, and is much closer in style to traditional illustration.
