Ukranian-born Sergei Sviatchenko is an artist and architect. Based in Denmark, he has exhibited in Europe, the USA and Canada, has received numerous commissions, and founded Senko Studio in 2002 – a forum for presenting the work of emerging artists – as well as an ongoing art project, ‘Close Up and Private’, in 2009. His own work is renowned for its simplicity and directness, an antidote to the often overcomplicated photomontage seen elsewhere.
