‘I select, cut and paste. It’s very basic.’ Photographer Ivan Terestchenko is based in the South of France, but it was when he started travelling to far-flung places that he first discovered his love of collage. It was impossible to get his film processed; he would send collages formed from leaves, fragments of newspapers and fabric to his friends to share his experiences. Despite being a selfconfessed ‘image eater’, Terestchenko only uses his own photographs in his elegant, atmospheric collages, and he loves ‘the “No rules” aspect of it.
