Appendix

Introduction to linear algebra

Abstract

The appendix gives a brief introduction to linear algebra, covering the definition of a vector and a matrix. Matrix addition and subtraction is defined, as is matrix and vector multiplication. We consider the matrix as a function between vectors and define linear mappings as well. Finally, eigenvalues and eigenvectors are defined, but a method to compute them is not considered.
