Threats to the space vehicle (SV) itself are in all cases a threat to the SV itself and likely to disrupt the mission of that SV as well. Threats to mission on the other hand have little to do with the type of SV the mission is being conducted from and are likely to be more specific to aspects of the mission itself and the onboard components of the SV utilized to carry out that mission.
