Types of Endpoints
Although networks have huge number of possible endpoint systems, most of them can be broken down into a handful of common types. The most common target from a cybersecurity perspective is the traditional personal computer. Whether it is a server, a laptop, or a desktop, a Windows, Linux, or Mac computer, the same basic cybersecurity concepts for attack and defense apply. Mobile devices, such as tablets, mobile phones, e-readers, and related devices, are also a critical target for attackers.
