Interview with Dart’s Creators
Lars Bak and Kasper Lund, two world-renowned Danish computer scientists, created the Dart programming language in 2011 while employed by Google. Before starting the Dart project, they created Google’s V8 JavaScript engine. In late February 2014, they sat down for an interview to discuss the creation of Dart, its intent, and their perspective on its use as a first programming language. They were affable, entertaining, and possessed the ability to break down complex topics in a way that all readers will be able to appreciate.
