CHAPTER 7Cataloging, Governance, and Search
In this chapter, you'll learn how to discover data, regulate access, and query it. You'll learn about the vital role a data catalog plays in the construction of a data platform and how to catalog your datasets for the purpose of specifying schemas. We'll discuss tagging and granting access to data as well as performing queries that allow you to build datasets for your data consumers and clients, including business intelligence (BI) tools. We'll be working with AWS Glue and Amazon Athena in this chapter.
