Taxonomies
Abstract
A taxonomy is a list of related words. When there is a relationship between the words the taxonomy is called an ontology. Taxonomies are useful for input into textual disambiguation as part of the contextualization process. Taxonomies are useful when text is nonrepetitive. Taxonomies exist in multiple languages. There are different kinds of taxonomies – synonyms, members of a class, family members, and so forth.
