Data Governance of Structured Data

Abstract

Data governance is the process of ensuring the integrity of data in the corporation. Data stewards are selected to be responsible for the quality and accuracy of the data. Data governance is a corporate activity. It is made necessary by the need to comply with such standards as Sarbanes Oxley, Basel III, HIPAA, and other regulations. Data governance needs to address primarily the granular data of the corporation. One of the activities of data governance is the repair of data when it is found to be broken.
