Creating/editing/removing a host profile from an ESXi host

The creation of a host profile is a pretty simple procedure and requires the identification of a hypervisor to be used as a reference host.

The following steps are required to create a host profile:

From vSphere Web Client, access the Inventory view and right-click the host chosen as the reference host. Select the Host Profiles | Extract Host Profile... option, as shown in the following screenshot:

Give the profile a name and type a meaningful description to easily identify the profile's purpose, then click Next.
