This standard was named as 802.3ae by the IEEE 802.3 committee. It was designed to increase the data
rate to 1000 Mbps (10 Gbps). It is compatible with standard Ethernet, fast Ethernet and gigabit Ethernet.
It enables the Ethernet to be used with technologies such as Frame Relay and ATM. Various physical-
