Mind mapping in artificial intelligence for data democracy
Abstract
One of the main hurdles in the quest for data democracy is the information overload problem that end users have to suffer when trying to analyze all information available to be informed and make sensible decisions. In this chapter, I talk about the definition, causes, consequences, and possible solutions to information overload. One of the solutions lies in the use of artificial intelligence (AI). But this is a double-edged word because, in some cases, it helps to reduce information overload and, in other cases, it helps to increase the problem.
