This chapter is presented in two halves covering the theory and practice for developing governing body requirements to manage delivery, and the practicalities of introducing governance of data across the reporting function. Driving efficiency and accuracy in reporting should result in better quality and more timely decisions. Applying a governance framework over reporting data will ensure that reports inform decisions that set organisational direction and align with organisational goals, visions and mission.
