Getting Ready for GenAI
No book about data strategies or data management in 2024 can skip the subject of Generative Artificial Intelligence (GenAI). The correlation between AI and data is evident even to people far away from data disciplines, with entire markets and industries swiftly appending “and AI” to every previous notion of data.
In this chapter, we will look at what we already know about AI capabilities, what is likely to come shortly, and possible predictions for the longer term. From the perspective of data practitioners, we will specifically address the following aspects of AI:
