In this chapter, I will describe the new modeling approaches introduced with SAP BW/4HANA. Not only does the new SAP business warehouse application significantly enhance the traditional SAP BW capabilities, but also it revolutionizes the modeling approach in general. This knowledge will be the key to understanding the new data warehousing functionalities, the bottom-up modeling approach, and the virtual data modeling concept.
