Big Data Stewardship and Data Lakes
Abstract
Big Data Governance and big data stewardship are not so different from what we’ve been doing prior to the advent of big data and data lakes. Most of the same roles still need to be filled, and accountability for making data decisions is even more important because of the vast quantity of data, the many ways in which it can be changed, and increased consequences of “getting it wrong” due to not only the large quantities of data and metadata, but also the speed at which the data can change.
