The Future of Data Virtualization
13.1 Introduction
At the time of writing this book, data virtualization is in the spotlights. In 2009, data virtualization was still a technology that was not on the radar of most organizations. It’s now moving more and more to the forefront. New products are being released, organizations are implementing their first systems based on data virtualization, and many are studying whether they can benefit from the technology. The general expectation is that data virtualization is rapidly becoming mainstream technology.
