Dashboard Design and Mechanics
We the authors usually begin our training session on dashboard design by encouraging the participants to think of OBIEE dashboards as websites. The usual response is, “Wait a minute, I thought we’re here to learn about business intelligence and business analytics systems, not websites.” That’s exactly right. We feel free to leverage many of the best practices that have been developed over the past two decades in website development exactly because they often have direct applicability to business intelligence dashboard development.
