Chapter 11. Modeling Archive Data
The database archive stores data coming from structured databases. It only makes sense that it would be a structured database itself. This means that the archive for any specific application is logically a database and must be architected just as the source database was originally architected. There will be differences between the model of data in the source system and the model of data in the archive. These differences may be minor or significant.
