Basics of Live View
You don’t care about video, never shoot movies, and wonder what all the fuss is about with live view? Get with the program! It’s true that shooting stills and video while viewing the exact image the sensor sees rather than looking through the viewfinder is quite a bit different from capturing stills. But there are significant advantages to shooting stills in Live View mode, especially when used in conjunction with the D7500’s swiveling monitor to shoot macro photos of blooms best captured at foot-level rather than eye-level. And video capture can open up whole new worlds of creativity for you, even if movie making does require a slightly different skill set.
