The Nikon Z7 II and Z6 II are compatible with a long list of Nikon SB-series Speedlights, dating back to the company’s original professional-level flash unit, the SB-800, which was introduced in 2003. All Speedlights introduced since then use the Nikon Creative Lighting System (CLS), which allows efficient through-the-lens metering of flash exposures and wireless off-camera strobes for versatile multi-flash lighting.
