Wireless and Application Menus
Your a6500 is equipped with a built-in Wi-Fi system that can be used for transferring files to a networked computer, a networked HDTV, or a smartphone/tablet computer. As we’ll see later, there’s also an option (with an app) to use the smartphone or tablet as a remote controller for the camera. The a6500 includes both traditional Wi-Fi capabilities and, with Android devices, a newer protocol called Near Field Communications (NFC), which allows linking devices directly without an intervening network.
