Configuration Assistant
The new Configuration Assistant (CA) replaces the pre-v8 Client Configuration Assistant (CCA). Each database that you or your applications need to access must first be properly configured at your DB2 client. The CA makes it easy for you to do this. It includes wizards and provides hints to help you along the way. It also preserves the familiar discovery feature, so useful in the CCA, which you can use to add a database object whose exact name you might not know. The CA offers you improved response times for discovery requests, as well as the option to refresh the list of discovered objects at any time.
