Package Version Identifiers

DB2 has the ability to support multiple versions of the same package in a single system using the new version option for packages. This option allows a developer to introduce and test a new version of a package on the system without affecting users of the existing version of the package. The support of the version option allows ongoing package maintenance to occur without interruption of end-user access to the system.
