WebSphere MQ Integration Enhancements
WebSphere MQ provides the ability for message operations and database operations to be combined. A set of WebSphere MQ functions and utilities are provided with DB2 to enable SQL statements to include messaging operations. In DB2 UDB v8.1, integration with WebSphere MQ is further improved with enhancements in data integrity, flexibility, and performance.
Asynchronous MQ Listener
In DB2 UDB v8.1.2, an asynchronous MQ listener utility is available. The asynchronous MQ listener is a configurable service that accepts messages from WebSphere MQ queues and promptly calls custom stored procedures as messages arrive.
