8 Preserving Photos
The second phase of my photo organizing workflow is focused on preservation. You might say I use a wide-angle lens in my definition of preservation, which includes physical photos, digital photos, and even home movies. Different formats require different kinds of preservation, and you’ll learn about all of them in the following chapters.
If you’re working with digital photos, you’ll learn in chapter 9 that digital preservation includes converting to modern formats and ensuring your files are stored in safe places with reliable backups.
