Chapter 2: Review of related work

Abstract

This chapter presents the overview of the different machine learning- and deep learning-based studies carried out for the design of different CAC systems for chest radiographs. It discusses the studies that are broadly classified on the basis of the type of CAC system designed. The chapter covers binary classification-based machine learning and deep learning studies of chest radiographs as well as deep learning-based multiclass and hybrid CAC system design studies for the classification of chest radiographs. Furthermore, the chapter discusses the various chest radiograph dataset that are publicly available for use.
