This section aims to present the data involved in this practice session. We rely on freely available data, named the Marmande dataset. In the following chapter, we explain how to download and prepare this dataset in order to be ready for the practice session. Create a directory named marmande on your file system. We will use this directory to store all the downloaded and generated data during the exercises.
The Marmande dataset consists of three Sentinel-2 images and one Sentinel-1 product. It will be used for all exercises of section IV. Table 15.1 summarizes the image characteristics.
