CHAPTER 3 Deep Learning Models for Visual Computing
Deep learning seeks to emulate and learn complex arrangements in datasets using multiple learning layers of processing units (neurons) to recognise them as the human brain does. Deep learning algorithms learn very complex data via a series of repeated or multiple artificial neurons by manipulating the parameters associated with the neuron to produce the desired output. As described in the previous chapter, deep learning is a neural network with multiple hidden layers. This can be associated with how humans think to solve a complex problem by applying intelligence to it.
