Abstract

The technological revolution has presented unforeseen hurdles to the software sector. Quantum computing (QuCo) technologies are set to revolutionize software engineering due to their growing impact and maturity in recent years. The assessment and prioritization of QuCo concerns in the software sector are underdeveloped, under-identified, and dispersed. To identify critical difficulties, we performed a systematic literature analysis using data from different digital libraries. Then, we used the fuzzy analytic hierarchy process (F-AHP) to rate the obstacles and impediments. Our results show the nascent nature of QuCo research and the growing need for multidisciplinary study to solve the stated difficulties; they have implications for both academics and professionals in the field.

2.1 Introduction

According to numerous computer experts, the “quantum age” is about to arrive [1, 2] and will be remembered as such in the 21st century. It is predicted that quantum mechanics concepts like superposition, i.e., quantum objects may be in several states at once, and entanglement, in which quantum objects can be profoundly related ...
