I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

Korzenie obecnej popularności uczenia głębokiego sięgają zaskakująco głęboko, bo aż do lat 50. ubiegłego wieku. Choć mgliste wzmianki o „inteligentnych maszynach” można także znaleźć wcześniej, w świecie fikcji i spekulacji, to jednak na przełomie lat 50. i 60. pojawiły się pierwsze „sztuczne sieci neuronowe”, opierające się na dramatycznie uproszczonym modelu biologicznych neuronów. Spośród tych modeli szczególne zainteresowanie wzbudził (i zdobył sławę) model perceptronu, ogłoszony przez Franka Rosenblatta. Podłączony do prostego „aparatu fotograficznego” potrafił on rozróżniać różne typy obiektów.
