When you purchase software, you can always expect an update sooner or later. Some applications require updates regularly, like antivirus and antispyware software, while others require updates only a few times a year (or less). You should get these updates when they are offered, for several reasons: they make the software more secure, repair known problems, and oftentimes offer a new interface and/or new features.
