The Desktop
There’s really only one more item we’re going to clean up and then personalize with our own touches, and that’s the Desktop (then we’ll move on to more system-related things like optimizing your hard drive and securing your web browser). You can make the Desktop look however you want it to. It can have lots of icons or none at all; it can show Computer, Recycle Bin, User’s Files (that’s your personal folder), Control Panel, and Network; it can have shortcuts to programs you use a lot, folders you access daily, networks you connect to, and more.
