This chapter is dedicated to a dear friend and colleague named John Barclay who passed away in the spring of 2007. A former high school teacher who held a master’s degree from Boston College, John was a champion of knowledge. At the same time, early in his career, he studied and performed as an actor in England and continued to direct community theater productions through 2006. John’s unique background of education and theater made him an irresistible national trainer at Marriott International.
