IN THIS CHAPTER
An ASP.NET application or Web Service has little use to anybody until you compile and deploy it. Of course, I don’t mean to undermine the immediate gratification developers get from simply compiling and seeing their applications run—even in a test environment. Still, applications are written for the end user; therefore, they must be deployed when they are production ready. This chapter discusses a simple deployment approach. It also discusses configuration options that you will likely need to modify in a production environment.
