For smart city technologies to have any impact, they need to be connected. Here we will look at the different ways in which city technologies can be connected. We will look at different types of network, their properties and dynamics, as well as typical applications in a smart city context. We will also look at the different ways devices can be connected to each other and different networks like the Internet.
