Compliance items are a unique value that will be compared with the pattern. When creating compliance items, it needs to be specified what and where they should be verified and which discovered values are considered the correct ones.
Compliance items can be created on Windows, macOS, and mobile devices. Each item might relate to something else, such as a different platform or even version of the operating system.
Items for Windows can be based on the following:
- Active Directory query
- Assembly
- File system
- IIS metabase
- Registry key
- Registry value
- Script
- SQL query
- WQL query
Items for macOS can be based on these:
- The macOS preferences
- Script
