Client push

The Client push installation is a very convenient method of deploying ConfigMgr clients. As it is an automatic installation, it is important to configure settings in order to avoid accidentally installing the client where it shouldn't or mustn't be installed.

Client push installation is not enabled by default; it has to be enabled manually. To configure it, the following actions need to be performed:

  1. Enable client push installation.
  2. Configure installation accounts for the ConfigMgr server.
  3. Configure GPO for endpoints.

GPO should enable two firewall exceptions to be configured--File and Print Sharing and Windows Management Instrumentation (WMI).
