Synopsis
In this chapter we discuss the importance of text in your designs. We'll explore the nature of typography and the anatomy of type, thinking about the impact of typography on the visual language of your designs. This will extend your ability to express ideas through the visual presentation of words. You'll learn how to modify existing typefaces to personalize them and achieve a more handcrafted look (Figure 5.1). Finally, we'll cover some important considerations that you need to keep in mind when designing text for the screen.
